Thank you for purchasing the DoorbellGuard!
Please read instructions carefully before installing.
*If your model does not look like the above you will need to use our previous version of the install guide. CLICK HERE
STEP 1 — Install Wall Mount
Install the Wall Mount (3) to your home using the provided Concrete Screws (5).
These heavy-duty screws are a key security feature and are much stronger than the screws included with most doorbells.
Important: Feed your doorbell wires through the elongated slot in the Wall Mount before tightening.
STEP 2 — Mount Doorbell to Backplate
Install your smart doorbell to the Backplate (1.1) by adjusting the Sliding Screw Straps (1.2) to match your doorbell’s mounting hole spacing.
Use the provided Self-Tapping Screws (6) to secure the doorbell’s backplate.
Special Note (Ring 2–4):
Some Ring models require using the four additional fixed mounting holes instead of the Sliding Screw Straps.
If so, ignore the Sliding Screw Straps (1.2) and use the included 4 self-tapping screws for that setup.
STEP 3 — Connect Power (Wired Models Only)
Connect your doorbell wiring to your 16V AC transformer wires.
If you have a battery-only doorbell, skip this step.
STEP 4 — Attach Backplate to Wall Mount
Mount the Backplate (1.1) (with doorbell attached) to the Wall Mount (3) using the provided Security Torx Screws (5).
This step allows angle adjustment. Set your preferred angle now, then tighten fully to prevent rotation.
STEP 5 — Configure Faceplate Insert Coverage
Your doorbell is now installed — next is protecting the front.
Since every doorbell is different, use the Faceplate Insert Holder (2.2) and Faceplate Inserts (2.3) to expose only what you want visible (camera, button, microphone, sensors, etc.).
Doorbells contain multiple sensors—avoid covering anything unless you intentionally want to block it.
STEP 6 — Install Faceplate and Secure
Slide the Faceplate (2.1) over the full assembly and secure it using the provided Security Torx Screws (5).
A Torx wrench is included—store it in a safe place.
If it’s lost, you can purchase a replacement hardware kit in the shop.
Congratulations on your purchase and enjoy the security knowing your doorbell is safe!
